And installation of WinZip changed by FF settings (and clobbered all of my open tabs in the process). I have managed to restore all of the ones of which I am aware so far except for the page on which a new tab opens. I have changed the string "browser.newtab.url" in about:config to my desired page but with no effect. Any advice is appreciated.

PS: WinZip for Windows 7 is effing foistware.

Edit: I just realized that the default search engine on newly opened tabs is still set to the foisted Yahoo, even though I have changed the default search engine string in about:config back to its previous setting.

Edit: Ah, nevermind. I just checked my addons and effing WinZip had installed something called Speed Dial that was, essentially, hijacking my tabs. Again, WinZip for Windows 7 is effing foistware.
