Some letters are not displaying in some words, though it is displaying in some other words.
I am using a WordPress for my site with oneengine theme. Just today I noticed that some letters are not displaying in some words. It was displaying correctly before. Those letters are displaying in some other words on the same page. However after many reloads, now it's just the letter 'r' not displaying in the slider. The font used is 'Lato'. All the letters are displaying correctly in Chrome & IE.

HI pc2in, That is not expected. Please run a malware check. Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- TDSSKiller - AntiRootkit Utility
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Hi guigs2,
Thanks for your detailed reply. The problem seem to be with my system as the problem could not be replicated in other systems. I tried Malwarebytes Anti malware, however it did not solve the problem. Also the problem could not be seen with any other website on my system (Win 7 OS). Another point is that, if I copy the sentence and paste in a text editor, all the letters are visible. The problem is seen with my FF browser only. A screen shot is attached.
Thanks & Regards pc2in
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You can right-click on a web page and select "Inspect Element" to open the Inspector (Firefox/Tools > Web Developer).
- You can check the font used for selected text in the Font tab in the right pane of the Inspector.
You can try different default fonts and temporarily disable website fonts to test the selected default font.
- Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced
- [ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
You can do a font test to see if you can identify font(s) that aren't working properly.
This worked for me: You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.
Thank you!
As cor-el mentioned,
Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced [ ] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
Solves the problem. But the page will use only the system fonts like 'Times Roman' etc.
The real problem is still not identified as these missing letters are displayed sometimes while some other letters go missing. The font used in my case was 'Lato'. Thanks
