cannot print without a "save print out put as" box comming up, this is new since the last firefox update

Since the last update of firefox, which has been really useful in blocking popup's, I cannot print anything e.g. an email or banking information without a box entitled "save print output as" with the usual file name and location information lines. I do not want to do this and have never had to do this before, also when I close the box a "Printing error" box appears and I cannot print.

The setting that you make should persist until you change it again. The "default" is the last used printer.

When you do Ctrl + P is your printer selected.

Thank you for that "prompt" no my printer was not selected "microsoft XPS document writer" is displayed and I have to select the printer from the drop down menu then it is alright. How can I make it default to the printer please??
