Hi, I was using a theme with pictures of weed; I liked it but was not appropriate for everyone to see. I wanted to change it for some other of the themes I already had installed (some of them animated), so I opened the themes tab, and every time I select 'enable', the background color of the toolbars changed, but it would not load the pictures (it only changed the color). I tried every theme installed, all with the same result, so I am sure is not because of the themes themselves, I even tried with the very same theme it had before attempting to change it (the one with the weed), and this time it also changed the color of the toolbars without loading the pictures. Now I have a browser with hard to see colors but no background picture in the toolbars or anything I tried loading in safe mode (though I don't see what its got to do with it), with the same results.

any pointers? tnx

With the latest upgrades, many themes are no longer compatible.

Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.

Does this also happen if you install or preview the lightweight theme (Persona) by visiting its web page?

Previewing a lightweight theme (Persona) only works on sites that are white-listed via an allow exception, so make sure to have an allow exception for the addons.mozilla.org domain. You can see the permissions for the domain in the current tab in:

  • Tools > Page Info > Permissions > [X] Install Add-ons

Hi, tnx for your answer. I am not sure if this is the case.. I believe if it was something to do with version compatibility, the current theme would have stopped working suddenly. As I mentioned above, there was a theme and had no problem till that moment, then I tried to change it, then not even the theme that was currently working would work, at the moment of changing it. Also, if the theme was not compatible, I believe it would give a message or something, instead of 'working partially' (change colors but not load graphics)
