All of a sudden I have a Spam folder and it's filled with "stuff" I didn't have it before and want to know how to get rid of the "stuff" I know I can delete the folder, but do not know if this is something I should do.

Thunderbird does not use the word Spam or create a Spam folder. Your email provider might. Just look through the folder and delete any message that you do not want. Some spam filters are not that great at determining what is or is not spam and there might be some messages in there that you want to read or keep. It is not the end of the world. just sort through the message in there.

Some spam filters are not that great at determining what is or is not spam and there might be some messages in there that you want to read or keep. It is not the end of the world. just sort through the message in there.
