I am using the latest version of Firefox on my Samsung s4 and cannot play videos on Firefox. If I switch to Chrome the videos play without any problems. Is anybody else having this problem. Thanks

HI PJMFOX44, Thank you for your question. I understand that videos are not playing. In order to better investigate the issue, can you please provide an example url where this is happening?

Thank you!

The above video won't play in Firefox and I don't see any of the usual controls like the Play button. It plays perfectly in Chrome.

Hi PJMFOX44:

Thank-you for providing a sample video url to Rachel and the rest of the support crew.

The above video works for me on my Samsung S5 on Firefox 35 with if I have with Firefox Settings -> Display -> Plugins set to Disabled

Does the video work for you if you set Plugins to disabled?

Cheers!

hi again PJMFOX44

That foxnews video from december 2014 video works perfectly with flash installed on my Samsung Galaxy S5 (I don't have an S4 but as far as I know video should work equally well on the S5 and S4) in tap to activate and enabled mode. It doesn't work if I don't have Adobe Flash player installed. Latest things to try:

  1. Please install Adobe Flash Player on your S4 and let us know if that makes the videos work. (Should have asked you to do this earlier sorry!) https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-watch-flash-videos-firefox-android
  2. If that doesn't work in Firefox Settings -> Tools -> Addons please try uninstalling all add-ons and let us know if that makes it work https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/uninstall-firefox-android-add-ons

fingers crossed this helps!
