Virgin media UK has changed it's ISP address and I am unable to add the new address via automatic or manual, How do I do it?
Virgin used to use google for it's email service but has recently created a new ISP of it own. I am unable to find it using the automatic 'add account' in Thunderbird. I have tried to do it manually without joy. I can get into my email account using Virgin webmail page. Any suggestions please? GMN

Via Menu Bar File > New > Existing mail account or Via Mail Toolbar Menu icon > New Messages > Existing mail account
Enter name Enter full email address Enter password - same one you use to access webmail
select to remember password. click on 'Continue'
thunderbird attempts to look up configuration settings. Check: Has it selected the correct type of acount: POP or IMAP Are the settings correct.....see info at link below. to manually set/correct them click on 'Manual config' button
See server setting here: http://help.virginmedia.com/system/selfservice.controller?CONFIGURATION=1001&PARTITION_ID=1&TIMEZONE_OFFSET=&USERTYPE=1&VM_CUSTOMER_TYPE=Cable&CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=2743
Depending upon your email address...the part after the @, this will determine what the server name for POP/IMAP/SMTP will be.
Use 'Re-test' button to check modifications. Click on 'Done' to create the mail account.
