Firefox crashed, like it does some times, like all browsers tend to do. However this time no crash report, which was weird but not something unthinkable. When I opened firefox again it didnt ask if I wanted to restore my previous session, also weird. I checked to see if I could restore my previous session my self through the history, nope. I checked if I could restore the previous session through the profile in AppData, somehow made the previous session and current in close succession so that was lost too. Though up a last chance to retrieve everything, connecting with sync on a different pc, NOPE, it had also synced when I had restarted firefox.

Now I have lost all my tabs.... for some people not a big problem, however I rather put almost everything in tabs than put them in bookmarks, cause in tabs I get visually reminded of something I wanted to read or check out otherwise. I can easily remember where I left the tab I want to look at without having to scroll through endless bookmarks or try to remember the title of the site to open the bookmark, I used to put everything in bookmarks till I had to search through 500+ bookmarks, which made me realize tabs are easier to work with. TL;DR I lost about 200+ tabs because mozilla randomly crashed without crash report.

Does someone know any way to retrieve my lost data, or can mozilla somehow get me a the tabs from any sync before 17/09/2016 6:00?

Kind regards

There may be reports that were created, but not sent.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most resent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box below and paste them in.

(Please don't take a screenshot of your crashes, just copy and paste the IDs. The below image is just an example of what your Firefox screen should look like.)

You can create a special folder in the Bookmarks Manager that has all of the tabs that you want.

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

(according to this the crash had been sent to mozilla, however i never saw the "mozilla crashed window")

I've done as you said, and deleted the possibly corrupted sessionstore

I've called for more help.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac=Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh).

Is the problem still there?

more options

I cant check if the problem still persists, cause it only happened with a crash. So unless my firefox crashes again I can't check if I will lose everything after a crash again. However the problem that I lost my tabs still persists, I have the feeling thats a lost cause since I cant get old syncs back.

If you occasionally back up your Firefox profile, or even just the contents of sessionstore-backups that may help you if you ever do have similar problems again in the future.

I seem to recall someone else mentioning empty sesionstore files, but I have not found that question again yet.
