Using Ubuntu 16.04, Thunderbird 45.5.1

Added the DropBox FileLink Add-on

Attempt to set up the DropBox account; asked for username and password - but even when I enter these, the "Sign in" button remains disabled. The password is correct for DropBox; I can sign in via FireFox.

Note that I tried adding the DropBox Add-on directly from the Add-ons menu, and I also tried removing that, downloaded dropbox_for_filelink-1.0.1-tb.xpi, and added that. Same results either way. Have reset Thunderbird multiple times.

when I look at the add-on page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/dropbox-for-filelink

I see it works with Thunderbird versions 13 - 24 and has not been updated since 2012. So I would be surprised if it still worked with V45.

I guess that explains the problem I'm having. But it does raise a different problem - why is this still being offered as an add-on??

The are bound to be folks using V26, hell there are still folks using V1 and 2. I do not understand it, nor do I think it is a good idea. But it is the reality.
