For the benefit of other readers of this thread There is a possibility others may access such a printer, and at the very least that could result in wasting print consumable, so it may be prudent to consider ensuring printer credentials are not set to default and are not known by others. There is also the potentially other risks once devices are controlled by bad actors, but as you say you are aware of the risks. I would have expected that even if Firefox is generating a warning it should allow you to log in.
