Hi,

when I delete unopened (spam) emails from my Inbox then they appear in my trash and are marked as read. I dont want them to be "marked as read", because then the spammer knows I opened the message.

How can I make sure that I delete my spam emails without marking them as read?

Thank you in advance! Best regards, Paul

Marking as read is local; it isn't the same as actually opening an email message and parsing its content. Messages in your Junk folder will have remote content disabled by default, so they can't "phone home" via webbugs.
