When I copy a Word document that is single spaced, and then paste it into Thunderbird email, it becomes double spaced; how do I stop that from happening?

When I create legal documents using MS Word, and then I try to copy and paste them into Thunderbird email, parts of the document are copied into different spacing. I want the document copied and pasted as it was created. Why does it change and how do I stop that from happening? I have tried to clean up and change the spacing in the pasted document without success. I'm very frustrated.

It's generally not recommended to copy content from Word, or any word processor, directly into TB; it introduces a lot of hidden, proprietary, incompatible formatting. The best approach is to Paste Without Formatting (Ctrl+Shift+V). If you need to send as created, attach a Word or pdf file.
