I have noticed the the yellow message "a web page is slowing down your browser" What triggers this message in FF.

kj2008 try "about:performance" because even though I think the problem may be re-trannsmission I see it at times that do not seem to be a throughput problem.

If you run "about:performance" since it happens frequently for you I am hopping the stats might show a performance degradation but I am not sure.
What is about:performance?
This message is probably about the website taking a lot of CPU time, probably on the main processor thread. I don't know which tasks run on the main thread and which run asynchronously on their own thread. I would assume that about:performance (Task Manager) shows that a tab uses a lot of processor time.
This specific message is about the Process hang reporter. When the browser hangs and doesn't return control then this warning bar is displayed
I want to automatically stop a non-responsive script without having to do anything. Is this possible?
I have noticed a issue in which if you are watching a Youtube videos that a response via http to a site map2.hwcdn.net which works out to IP (205.185.216.42 causes a large amount of retries to the network causing congestion.
I do not know exactly how the map2.hwcdn.net site gets engaged but even though the network retries are massive causing intermittent play of anything in FF . But FF does not notify that a site is slowing down your browser.
It just happened on Outlook.com after updating FF to 67.0.2.
There do not seem to be solutions to many ongoing problems. What does a long-time FF user do?
Frustrated... One day, I might get around to explaining what happens when I use clear cache and remove cookies.

In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

This only works if you actually know which web page is lsowing down your browser and Firefox/Mozilla does not tell you this and if you do what this reply was you do not know which to forget about. All I know is that ever since there was an upgrade to Mozilla then the site I have used for the last ten months always has this message attributed to it now when before it was never there. I need to use this site everyday since I teach online English and I need it for my work. So this looks like a problem with Mozilla/Firefox software that they need to address soon or I will be returning to my previous search engine and deleting my Firefox/Mozilla account, and I was just starting to like Firefox/Mozilla because it had been very dependable and fast.
