Helo. Can anyone help me please? I am trying to use "Messenger for Desktop" to phone Facebook friends. I can hear them but they cannot hear me. My inbuilt-microphone is selected as default & works with my Zoiper Softphone. The suggestions here (https://support.mozilla.org/gl/questions/1228717?mobile=0&fpa=1 ) do not work One of the reasons I am always slow to update Firefox (I have 66.0.4) is that the "help" available always has been rendered useless by innovations. I believe "desktop for windows" requested mike access once, & I believe I hit "allow".....but there seems no way at all to verify, check, change or modify this permission! If I hit (i) / Permissions / Cogwheel / Microphone I simply have an empty list for sites than have already asked permission. The "allow" / "deny" options are long gone. There is no way to "force" a permission or set one up. Similarly this page (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-manage-your-camera-and-microphone-permissions ) has suggestions that do not work.. If I go to the website (https://messengerfordesktop.com/) A request does not pop-up as stated. And the section on managing permissions is also outdated. When you arrive at Permissions/Microphone/Settings there is no way to INPUT a site. There is only a blank list for sites that have already asked permission. Please can somebody tell me how to FORCE a permission?

I would think any mic access setting would be in the Messenger for Desktop program. This would not involve mic permissions in FireFox.

Does Messenger for Desktop use Adobe Flash? There is a mic and camera permission thing in the Flash Settings.

Thank You Pj. I have no idea if "Messenger for Desktop" uses Adobe Flash Player but the relevant settings are inactive because the list of sites requesting is empty (as in Firefox)!

Mic or Video camera access must be enabled by the O/S if your using Windows 10(like me or not) the Admin account if password locked is the only one that can enable Mic and Video camera. I know I had to set this on mine when my nephew was playing SQUAD on steam to chat. Otherwise if you have the admin/owner account password locked that will block any Limited user from not being able to enable options in the Control panel of the O/S. So til the O/S control panel enables the Mic/Video Camera option the other users will not have access to it from just loading it or using it through the Browser.
