HI

Im having a Siemens alarm 4320 installed at home , when trying to access it im getting Secure Connection Failed

An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.0.200. SSL peer rejected a handshake message for unacceptable content. Error code: SSL_ERROR_ILLEGAL_PARAMETER_ALERT

The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem.

Before i could make an exception to it and access it ..

But i cant make any exception in the cert manager anymore either ,

Works in other explorer , ??

These are old (and vulnerable) SSLv3 certificates, so by default Firefox blocks them without a possibility of an exception. You can change about:config settings to enable it (here be dragons though):

  • Change "security.tls.version.min" from 1 to 0
  • Change "security.tls.version.fallback-limit" from 1 to 0

Source, and further reading: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/21024526/ssl-error-illegal-parameter-alert

But if you can do anything about it, you should definitely try to upgrade to the latest version of TLS.
