I have the latest TB installed (78.6.1). I can install addons without a problem. If I go to the addons tab and check for updates I am always getting "no updates available". But checking several of my addons manually (going to their addon page), I do see available updates. These can also be installed when I click "Add to Thunderbird". This is frustrating because addons are not kept up to date. Why TB cannot find any addon update?

Eg: I have "Compact Headers" v2.16 installed. The latest version is 2.18.

Could be a bug. See if a bug report has been filed here bugzilla.mozilla.org for the same. If not, file one.

I have searched there and found a hint. Seems that when disabling my anti virus software then everything is working. Need to investigate how to fix this with anti virus software not being disabled.

Setting "extensions.update.requireBuiltInCerts" to false (I have to create a new boolean value) did fix it. It is not perfect but much better than disabling AV.
