Not getting any desktop notification when new mail arrives
I am not getting desktop notification when a new mail arrives. I have checked Show an alert in Options > General. It seems like when I close Thunderbird the entire process is being closed and in that period I don't gent any notification if any new mail arrives. When I open Thunderbird again after it a few seconds (when it's finishes sync) the notification pops up. Is there any way to get notification when Thunderbird is not being used or closed? Like when I turn in Facebook notification in FireFox, FireFox still sends me notification when it is not used. I can't open Thunderbird all the time to get a notification! -_-

The notifications from TB don't appear unless TB is running, and so far there is no integration with the W10 Notification Center. You could install a separate notification utility, like POP Peeper, or add your accounts to the W10 Mail app to get notifications even when TB is closed.

It seems that pop up notification only show up when thunderbird is NOT minimized, when minimized I get sound , but not the popup. Seems very backwards to me .
A popup is much more valuable when the thunderbird is minimized and barely useful when not minimized.
this is on win10 , thunderbird version 78.8.1
