Add bookmark to top sites directly
Hi,
I've a bookmark of type http://forum.example.com/forum/search.php?do=getnew When opened it changes to https://forum.example.com/forum/search.php?searchid=(everytime different id)
I want to pin the first url to top sites, but I can only add "open" urls, so I get always the second url added to top sites - and I see no way to edit the top site's url. So is there a way to add the bookmark to top sites directly without opening it?
Can you please help?
Kind regards, Thomas

I found a workaround: Set device to air plane mode and open the bookmark. Since the server can not be reached, the url is not redirected and I've the chance to save it to "top sites".
Now I've a top site called "no internet connection", but it can be renamed - sadly the url can not be edited, this feature got lost in the last big android update - I wish to get it back.
Best regards, Thomas

Hi Thomas
Difficult to answer without an actual site to test it with, but it could be that the site is resolving to the relevant https address for that site.

Hello Seburo,
thank you for your comment. It is not a http-to-https redirection thing, it also happens if the first url is also https.
The issue is that the first url is a request to the server which is always redirected to a new temporary url. And I see not way to pin the first url to "top sites", only the secondary, which is useless.
