Hello,

HUAWEI has launched the email service Petal Mail. According to the content of its FAQ page, third-party mail clients need to access Petal Mail to be allowed to use the SMTP/IMAP service.

FAQ: Can I log in to Petal Mail from other email clients?

I guess HUAWEI requires clients to use OAuth 2.0 for authentication, Thunderbird supports OAuth 2.0, so is it able to access Petal Mail?

Contact HUAWEI

Assuming nothing unique, I anticipate no problems. You will need to have all the info for server settings, such as server name, SSL vs STARTTLS, port, authorization, etc. Thunderbird is, in our opinion, a superior email client so this should go smoothly.

HUAWEI does not provide this information, but it can be found according to the test

imap.petalmail.com smtp.petalmail.com

But the server can't login with a password, so I'm guessing they need to authenticate via OAuth 2.0.
