I use thunderbird daily a lot. I send attached files all the time w/ no issues. Ystrdy I encountered a new error message when attempting to attach a file to an email. I get this error msg that says, "1st line is 'XYZ File name' (note the file name is different every time depending on what is the title of the file I am attaching) 2nd line of error msg is You don't have permission to open this file. 3rd line is Contact the file owner or Administrator to obtain permission." After that message has pops up, thunderbird basically quits working. It slows to a crawl and I have to close and reinstall from their website executable just to be able to see my emails. Pls help as I am baffled. BTW the message makes no sense because the file I am attaching is just a pdf scan that I created or some photo I took so it has nothing to do with the owner giving permission??

Right click the file in the windows file explorer and under the permissions tab, who gets access to the file? However there is a separate list for daily builds. https://thunderbird.topicbox.com/groups/daily as daily is not considered to be even stable and may not even run as it is really a developers build, it does not really come under the normal support.
