Hello,

I have thunderbird. I have several email accounts set up. I have a Google Calendar. I sometimes receive invites by emails and I want to be able to accept them s.t. they get added to my Google Calendar automatically. I don't use the Calendar feature of Thunderbird itself.

- Now what I did was download the Google Calendar Provider Addon and synced my Google Calendar. This gets me the "no writeable calendar" found. - If I create a "local" calendar inside Thunderbird, it works but then it just addes the invite to the local calendar and I have 0 sync. - I thought maybe I use CalDav but File => new => Calendar just shows me "local calendar/network calendar/google calendar".

Any help is appreciated.

What is your Thunderbird version?

I thought maybe I use CalDav but File => new => Calendar just shows me "local calendar/network calendar/google calendar".

Select 'Network Calendar' and enter your Google credentials.

Hello,

I added it several times using that plugin. I removed the permissions for the plugin on my google account and retried it.

If I add it via Network, what's the URL?

I'm on the newest version, always.

Not sure what you're talking about. Plugins aren't used anymore, except for some proprietary codecs. You don't need an extension either to get access to your Google Calendar, Thunderbird supports CalDAV natively.

You don't need a URL, just enter your Google credentials. Thunderbird will then discover your Google Calendar.
