Dec 2023 - after the latest auto download of Thunderbird it repeatedly downloads every old message again. Not just the few new ones. I can't find any solution to this. I'm ready to just delete the program as it takes forever to get to work on new messages.

try compressing your folders, this has helped users out of this situation. That account spit back hundreds of mails.


There are also several solutions, for example you can check or uncheck the box for leave a message on the server. it is recommended to choose for this function from. turn if off.
