I have Thunderbird 128.2.3 (32 bit). I have set Server type IMAP mail server, then Server Name to: outlook.office365.com and Outgoing Server: smtp.office365.com I have OAuth2 on both. When I enter, I get a new Thunderbird input that requires a password. My password does not work, the therefore my email account does not work.
I have confirmed that my Outlook Password is correct. I have cancelled my Outlook passwords. I have installed the 2 step verification option.
What needs to be done so I can use Thunderbird on my PC Win 10? Thank you, Ed

I have confirmed that my Outlook Password is correct. I have cancelled my Outlook passwords.
Not sure what that means, and how you can cancel your Outlook password. Make sure to use your main account password, and no app password you may have created in the past.
Check the passwords Thunderbird has remembered. At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button ≡ > Settings > Privacy & Security > Saved Passwords > Show Passwords. Delete any lines starting with imap:// and smtp:// and oath2:// for the troubled account.
You'll then be prompted to authenticate again. For this to work make sure cookies are enabled in Thunderbird. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/microsoft-oauth-authentication-and-thunderbird-202
christ1, I am missing something! I have removed all the Thunderbird passwords. Cookies are enabled. I am getting my "failure" from outlook.com, shouldn't it be from outlook.office365.com"?
I am NOT being prompted to authenticate. Whats my next steps? Ed

Mail and News Accounts ID Incoming server Outgoing servers Name Connection security Authentication method Name Connection security Authentication method Default? account2 (none) Local Folders None Normal password account3 (nntp) news:119 None Normal password smtp.outlook.com:587 STARTTLS Normal password true account7 (imap) outlook.com:993 SSL/TLS Normal password smtp.outlook.com:587 STARTTLS Normal password true
account7 (imap) outlook.com:993 SSL/TLS Normal password smtp.outlook.com:587 STARTTLS Normal password true
The correct settings for the incoming server are: outlook.office365.com Port: 993 User Name: <your e-mail address> Connection security: SSL/TLS Authentication method: OAuth2
for the outgoing server: smtp.office365.com Port: 587 User Name: <your e-mail address> Connection security: STARTTLS Authentication method: OAuth2
So you do need to fix the incoming server name in your Account Settings for the troubled account. Once the server names are correct, select OAuth2 for authentication for both, the incoming and outgoing server.

Made the changes on both incoming and outgoing servers. Ran one set with Oauth2 and one with Normal When Thunderbird restarted, I input password, the got "edweinman4@outlook.com got denied"
Could it be that when the restart starts, I get a TB ad automatically on my Edge Tab??

I have no idea what you're talking about. Please post again your Troubleshooting Information.

You haven't changed a bit compared to what you posted previously. You'll have to fix the server name and authentication method as suggested above.
