My software is old. Windows 7. I know it is not supported any longer. Just started having problems loading email. Getting messages saying my Browser is not supported. Have I missed updates for FireFox?

Windows 7 is being phased out and no longer supported. Did you try the larest Firefox esr browser veraion to see what happens.

Hi Diane, your Firefox identified itself as version 115. The Extended Support Release of Firefox 115 is the last version for Windows 7, so most likely you are up-to-date. (In case you want more info about that, see: Firefox users on Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 moving to Extended Support Release.)

You could try to trick websites into thinking you have a newer version of Firefox by changing a hidden setting. Here's how:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button accepting the risk.

More info on about:config: Configuration Editor for Firefox. The moderators would like us to remind you that changes made through this back door aren't fully supported and aren't guaranteed to continue working in the future.

(2) In the search box in the page, type or paste forceVersion and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the network.http.useragent.forceVersion preference to display an editing field, and change the value to 128 then press Enter or click the blue check mark button to save the change.

I don't know whether this takes effect immediately, or whether you need to do a regular exit/restart of Firefox. Any improvement?

Please be careful on suggesting what Firefox version to try. Firefox 116.0 and later requires Windows 10, 11 to run including the Fx 134.0.2 Release and Fx 128.6.0esr.

Mozilla does still support Windows 7, 8, 8.1 with the older Firefox 115 ESR.
