IIs there a way to reposition the "page bookmarked" pop-up from the right side of the screen back over to the left, directly below the "bookmarks" menu button?

It would be great if the dialog boxes for adding bookmarks appeared directly below the "bookmarks" button on the main menu bar. It might seem like a small thing, and there may be a reason the boxes always pop up near the upper right hand corner of the screen, but I would really like to cut down on the cross-screen travel time necessitated by the position of the pop-up.

I'm not a programmer, but I'm looking into how to produce an add-on for x,y positioning of the bookmarks pop-up.

Hello.

Yes, the only way to do this will be either with an extension or with a CSS tweak (for which I don't know the necessary code). You may want to use the star button instead, to bookmark pages. You click it once to store the bookmark in Unsorted bookmarks, and you can click it again to customize its location and info, or delete it. That way, you won't need to move your mouse as much.

I believe the above link is no longer valid. I would like to reposition this window as well, so if you could re-post the above link (if you still have it handy) I would find this very helpful.

Thank you.

Try a positive value for the margin-right:

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

#editBookmarkPanel { margin-top:100px !important; margin-right:200px !important; }

Margin-right didn't work for me, but margin-left worked.

@namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul");

  1. editBookmarkPanel { margin-left: 962px !important; }
