I am using the latest version of Firefox, and I want to be able to configure Firefox's location bar to only drop down addresses that I type in. I had been delaying upgrading Firefox on my laptop because I had this issue with my PC. Unfortunately, the software upgrade window popped up while I was typing, so thanks to bad luck I am upgraded with this problem. Thanks for any help.

You can set the pref browser.urlbar.default.behavior to 33 (visited+typed) or 49 (match url+visited+typed) on the about:config page.
