I find the current version of Firefox extremely difficult to use. Can I use a lower level version of Firefox??

I find it extremely difficult using the current version of Firefox. Navigating through open pages is cumbersome and at times, closing tabs is not possible. I have to close Firefox and restart. I would like to download an older version of Firefox. Is this possible?? If not, I will go elsewhere. Regards, Jerry

How are you trying to close tabs when that happens? Does it work if you middle click a tab?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

If you want to restore the old appearance then you can right click the orange Firefox button to open the toolbar context menu or use (F10) View > Toolbars.

  • Click the Menu Bar entry and place a check-mark to make the Menu Bar visible all the time.
  • Click "Tabs on Top" to remove the check mark and place the Tab Bar at its original position just above the browser window.
