Cannot remove add-ons anymore... only option is to disable them now.
As the question states.. with firefox 5.0, I'm no longer able to uninstall/remove addon-ons or extensions.... only disable them... then re-enable if I choose too. If an add-on is causing stability issues, I want it off my computer completely.... not just disabled.

Sounds like you are on the Add-ons / Plugins display which shows a Disable button when the item is enabled and an Enable button when the item is disabled. If so, those items are installed by a third-party program and there are various ways to get rid of them. What is the name of the item you want to delete?
The Add-ons / Extensions display should have Options, Disable and Remove buttons.

Something under extensions called "Questscan" and add-ons called "ActiveTouch General Container Plugin" I do not know how these were installed or even what they are for... I have disabled both & firefox is no longer freezing up.. but I want to remove them both completely.
The directions you provided on the link bring me to the same web based menu (instead of the original "Add-ons" window it indicates I should see, that I remember seeing in the past)... I select "Tools" then "Add-ons" from the drop down box & it opens up the same web browser where I'm only show the option to disable.
Sorry, I had not noticed that the images in those links have not be updated for Firefox 4 and 5. In Firefox 4 and 5 the Add-ons open in a tab display instead of a separate small window as in prior versions. Along the left side are categories (Extensions, Appearance (formerly Themes), and Plugins).
Those must be Extensions as they do not show in your Plugins reported with your post.
Questscan appears to be a malware (see malware removal below): https://encrypted.google.com/search?sclient=psy&hl=en&lr=&tbs=qdr%3Ay&source=hp&q=%22remove+questscan%22&btnG=Search
ActiveTouch General Container Plugin may be a part of Webex, used for online webinars and online meetings and conferences.
