That depends upon the specific website and how they are determining your location. By IP address for a wired connection or maybe by geolocation for a wireless connection.

With websites that allow you to reset your location, that setting is usually retained in a cookie for that website. If you delete that cookie or all your cookies, you are getting rid of that setting.
