Do I need Adobe Flash Player for Android?

I'm a little unclear about whether I need the product called Adobe Flash Player in order to view Flash content in FF Android, or if Flash support is built into the browser. My device came with Flash Player installed in ROM, but updates go to RAM and can't be moved to SD storage. Right now version 11.1 it's the largest app on my phone. I'm trying to determine whether I can remove it or not. IE if I uninstall Flash Player, will FF still play Flash content, or does it rely on Adobe's app for this functionality? Thanks.

Firefox will not play flash content without Adobe Flash Player, so if you want to view flash, I'd recommend leaving the app on your phone.

Thanks @Tylerdowner. That's what I thought, but not what I hoped. Thanks for the additional info too, @cor-el. I'd already seen that, which is what prompted me to look into this. I'd been thinking of uninstalling Flash Player just to see if FF would stop working, figuring I could always reinstall it if need be. But it seems this is no longer the case.

The mobile Firefox would have continued to work, just that you will not be able to view Flash related stuff like Flash videos.
