How to Restore Bookmarks From Backup when Profiles Folder Does Not Exist
Malware damaged computer and had to reset to factory default with back up of Firefox Program file and personal data. Program file did not contain a "profiles" folder, nor did it contain any of the files that have been associated with it. Where would these things have been located? Is there any hope of finding them?
Please HELP!
Question is pertaining to WIN 7 OS computer.

The Firefox Profile Folder is in a hidden location in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
Windows: %AppData%\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
- Use %APPDATA% in the "File name" field or make sure that you see hidden folders

Okay, so... to be certain I am understanding:
If all that I saved before resetting to factory default was the entirety of the Mozilla Firefox folder listed under "program files", then all 400 bookmarks have been lost?
Thanks again.
Yes, you have lost the bookmarks if you didn't backup that location.
Firefox doesn't store any personal data in the Firefox program folder and wouldn't be able to write there without an UAC alert because elevated permissions are required to have write access to that location.
