Every menu in Firefox displays incorrectly. All menus appear to be the entire Firefox window shrunk down into the bounds of the menu. I can even see part of the menu in the stretched version. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit and I've reinstalled Firefox several times. I wonder if it has something to do with my Window FX 5.1, but I've set it to exclude Firefox as an app.

Try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

I have this problem as well. If I click on a menu or a bookmark folder the menu items are so small that they can't be read. This is not a font size issue....these things are incredibly small. This happened to me once before and I scrubbed FF off my system and added back addons and it just worked. I am now using nightly. I reinstalled Nightly, w/o saving any FF settings except for bookmarks, and now I'm having the same problem.

I scrubbed nightly, reinstalled but even barebones i'm having the problem. The above fix does not work for me. Hd accel is already checked.
