Since moving to Aurora 23, I've lost my image management controls in the Options' Content panel, what can I do to get them back?

I have no more image options in my Content panel. I have to open an about:config window to turn images on or off. But that's the only blunt instrument I have. I cannot specifically allow certain websites' images and block others.

This has happened since upgrading to Aurora 23.

The option was intentionally removed in bug 851701. The same goes for the JavaScript option, which was removed in bug 851702.

If you need fine-grained image control, install an add-on like Adblock Plus.

If you need bulk image control, install an add-on like ImgLikeOpera.

in aurora when i right-click on a page and go to view page info > permissions, i can still change the image permissions for the current domain there...

You can inspect and manage the permissions for all domains on the about:permissions page or for the current domain via the ""Site Identity Button" (globe/padlock) on location bar" and click "More Information" to open "Page Info" and go to the Permissions tab.

Splendid. Thanks guys. I knew once I got some answers, I'd find I hadn't been looking hard enough. Turns out I didn't look hard enough.

Thanks for the read Gingerbread_Man. So next question if you've an answer: what's the future of those bugs? Is that the course the Mozilla team is now taking to make things simple for majority users?

The changes have been implemented. They're very likely turn up in Firefox 23, which is slated for release around August 7th.
