Vendor Tech Support sent this message:

In Firefox try changing these settings: Enter “about:config” in the URL. Search for "mixed" and toggle the true to false: security.mixed_content.block_active_content;false security.mixed_content.block_display_content;false

So, I did this and was able to view the account statement -- have I compromised security for other websites by doing this? Do I need to change this back after I download the account statement I was looking at?

You can use this extension to toggle the setting on trusted pages.
