FFox 26 on Win7 Pro (Dell) Suddenly (with the new FFox release?), we are not seeing the URLs displayed in the auto-coimplete history. We do get a dropdown menu, but only the sites' favicon is displayed: the space to the right of the favicon where the URL should display is simply empty. For example, if I have a dozen URLs in history that share some part of a URL (eg, the IP address), I will see a dozen rows presented in the address bar by autocomplete when I start typing in the URL. Howevere, the URLs on these dozen rows is not presented...only the favicons for each URL.

This issue can be caused by an extension (?Delicious Bookmarks) that isn't working properly.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Thanks Cor-El...it was indeed the Delicious add-on. I love delicious...pity that it so often lags behind FFox and causes trouble like this. Props for the assistance!
