Why In v26.0 were my bookmarks not moved from previous version
I had a long list of bookmarks on my home page in the version prior to v26.0. They are not there in the v26.0. Where are they and how can I retrieve them?

What is your home page set to -- a specific site? a blank page?
It's possible that you were using an add-on (FoxTab? Speed Dial?) that was creating your home page, and that after the update, the add-on is not working correctly.
Could you check your Extensions list and see whether that's a possibility and check for updates? Open the Add-ons page using either:
- Command+Shift+a
- Tools menu > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. If an extension has become disabled, it should be at the bottom on the gray background.
To check for updates, you can use the "gear" button above the list.
If you were using FoxTab, there is an update that Firefox will not pull automatically because it is awaiting review. You can find it on the "versions" page here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/foxtab/versions/
Version 1.4.10 Released January 19, 2014
Fix errors with Adobe Flash Player 12
Or if it wasn't in the body of the home page:
- You can re-open the Bookmarks Sidebar using either:
- Command+b
- View menu > Sidebar > Bookmarks
- If the Bookmarks menu button disappeared from the toolbars, you may be able to find it and relocate it using the Customize feature. See: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars.
Or was it something else?
Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.
- View > Toolbars
- Right-click empty toolbar area
Use Customize to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.
- check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the toolbar palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
- if missing items are in the toolbar palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
- if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar setup

You are addressing a problem that I do not have. I am asking what happened to all of the saved bookmarks I had in the Bookmarks content panel provided on the "My Yahoo" page I saved. Nothing you are suggestion deals with this.
My "MY Yahoo" page are three columns of selected option provided by Yahoo. And, I say again in every upgrade before this one all of the options I chose for my home page were converted without a problem. All of what you are suggesting are work arounds that have nothing to do with the fact that Yahoo did not give me what I had before I upgraded.
Hello,
Firefox automatically creates backups of your bookmarks, which can be helpful if your bookmarks are lost or missing. To recover them, follow the instructions below.
- Use one of these methods to open the Bookmarks Library window:
- Click the Firefox button to open the menu and click on Bookmarks.
- Click the Bookmarks menu and click on Show All Bookmarks.
- At the top of the Library window, click the "Import and Backup" menu and select Restore.
- Click the date of the bookmark backup you want to recover.
- In the new window that appears, click OK.
- Your bookmarks from the selected date should now be restored.
For more information, see the Restore bookmarks from backup or move them to another computer article. For other solutions, see the Recover lost or missing Bookmarks article.

Thank you.
Again, I say all of these solutions do not address the problem I have. On the My Yahoo home page I have three columns provided by Yahoo of selected options some of which are Politico, USA Today, Mac World, Forbes, Slate and at the top of the left column is the option Bookmarks which are those I use the most often and are then the most accessible. I do not have a problem of having lost all the many, many bookmarks I have saved over the years. These are all there and I go to them to find an obscure connection I have not used in a long time. So i say again before I upgrade to v26.0 when I update Firefox the upper left item Bookmarks was there but not populated with all of those I had save in previous versions. Where did the content of this option go???
If you have a problem with Yahoo bookmarks then you need to contact Yahoo for support.
Why isn't anyone reading what I am asking? Every answer does not address the problem I am having. I have attached a screen shot showing my home page and the selected "Bookmarks" option provided you Yahoo which you can see has little or nothing in it. Before the update this option had a list of about thirty bookmarks that I could access more easily than searching all of the hundreds of saved each time I needed the most used ones. Please review once again and reply accordingly.
This solution has no bearing on the problem I am writing about.
Hi RayJ, I suspect that the forum volunteers may not be My Yahoo! users. In that case, Yahoo is your best source for assistance on that page because those Yahoo! bookmarks are completely separate from Firefox's own bookmarks.
jscher2000,
Thank you for taking the look at my need. And, one more thing I need from you is how to contact Yahoo. I have tried unsuccessfully to find a link so can you suggest one?
