How do I safely uninstall Genieo from FireFox from Laptop on OS 10.6.8?
April 7 I wanted to download a free book from a Google search (Concluding Unscientific Postscript by Soren Kierkegaard) in PDF format, in following the prompts I wound up with a homepage called Genieo. It has a clickable "Remove Genieo" but requested your Mac password to proceed. Alarmed, I backed out at that point! I turned off wi-fi and was able to delete it from my Applications folder, and do a secure empty trash, but it continues to exist and come up as my browser home page. I don't use it, but want to get rid of it. THANKS!
