How can I import bookmarks from a device I no longer have?
I had MANY bookmarks saved on my old laptop, which died unexpectantly (isn't that the way it always is?) I need to get my bookmarks onto this new laptop. How can I do this?

Well it all depends on one thing. Does the machine boot up? If so, you can just do through Firefox itself. Two ways you can get there:
- Go to Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks
or
- Press CTRL key, SHIFT key, B
- Click Import and Backup > Backup
- Save the JSON file somewhere safe so you can transfer it over using a USB.
- In the new Firefox, do the same method above to get to the Bookmarks
- Click Import and Backup > Restore and navigate to where you have the JSON file and all of your existing bookmarks will be overwritten with the ones that were in your old setup.

If the old laptop is dead and won't boot up, pull the hard drive and connect it up to an adapter to USB cable, and then connect it to the replacement PC.

Hi! Thanks for your input! While not tech savy, I don't think this will help as I was told that the problem with the old laptop was that the harddrive was corrupted. I am of the understanding that Firefox stores bookmarks & am trying to find a way to access that & retrieve them.
Hi! Thanks for your reply! NOPE, computer does not boot up; dead as a doornail!
