Question 1. Couchsurfing.org loaded OK with FF28 and loads OK with IE, but it will not load in FF29. Why?

Q2. I like to have the tabs BELOW the URL bar. Can this be done? I tried toggling "tabsontop" in about:config. No change.

Q3. The tabs are too faint. Can the definition be improved?

Q4. Can you bring back the "Refresh" button? I used that a lot.

Q5. Can you put a "Bookmark this page" command on the menu when right-clicking the mouse?

Couchsurfing.org is now loading OK.

I thought it might have been an issue with the Couchsurfing site, but when it wasn't loading on FF29, at the same time it was loading OK on IE. Anyway, seems OK now.

I'd like the other issues addressed by Mozilla.

Current Firefox version have a combined bookmark star button and a button to open the bookmarks in a drop-down list on the Navigation Toolbar.

You can look at the Classic Theme Restorer extension to restore some functionality that was lost with the arrival of the Australis style in Firefox 29.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You can also check for issues caused by extensions.

I had seen the combined bookmark star button, but I think a menu item on the right-click button is an easier way to go.

I had also tried the Classic thing -- didn't like it -- didn't do what I wanted it to do.

Why do we always lose good stuff when upgrades happen????

And why can't you REALLY listen to us when we want something?
