I do not understand - I have read the 'preferences not saved' knowledge base. I have several Windows user accounts, preferences will switch back to default including default tabs. This happens when I log off or restart windows. Prefs will be saved if closing out browser and restarting but if logging off/restarting they reset. Have deleted all mozilla folders in a user account (not the admin acct), reinstalled fresh and still happens. I am thinking I must also have to uninstall/reinstall FF by logging into the Windows administrator account??

I'm not very familiar with the sharing function between Windows users, and have no idea whether that is relevant. But the simplest and probably least problematic arrangement is for each user to have a separate Firefox profile under their own C:\Users\username path. No sharing.
