I use avast antivirus on my android device. I read this thread on Avast forum :

The thing is no android antivirus app can provide URL monitor/Web-shield/Safe Browsing...feature for Firefox. Many other browsers allow this functionality. Why not firefox ? Please read avast discussion for more info. Thanks

Because of the Android security model has each app being completely siloed from each other. The stock Android browser and/or Chrome may provide some sort of access between the silos of the Avast app and the Android browser.

It is up to Avast to come up with a solution that works in our current application.
