we have upgraded FireFox to latest version 34.0.5. We have now encountered an issue of images not being displayed when option " preview in firefox" is selected from toption->Application->content type : Portable Document Reader : Action Preview in Firefox

If you change the content type action to adobe or any pdf reader then it works .

It was working fine for all previous versions of Firefox

It happens only when default Firefox "preview in Firefox" is selected. if any other action like "User Adobe reader (in Firefox)" is selected then issue does not come.

The same issue i am facing with this form at below URL. Open below URL and try to fill the pdf form ...also same message pops up at top "this pdf document contains forms the filling of form fields is not supported"

http://www.impots.gouv.fr/portal/deploiement/p1/fichedescriptiveformulaire_4244/fichedescriptiveformulaire_4244.pdf

But if I download the form then i can fill it without any issue.

Since I have Firefox version 34.0.5 No one thing has worked to show pdf fil in a tab as it used to do. Foxit nor Adobe Acrobat works to show it, just a plain white page.

I am unable to type into a fillable Adobe form. I see a message stating: "This pdf document contains forms. The filling of form fields is not supported"

example - http://schools.nyc.gov/NR/rdonlyres/48CDCA8C-B23F-4F5E-BE69-27015343F972/0/OP44.pdf

Similar happens to my PDF rendering where images does not get displayed which are embeded inside the PDF. its shows the message and prompt "OPEN WITH DIFFERENT VIEW

is it the case When PDF Viewer detects it won't render well a PDF file, it displays an info bar with a button that opens the file with an external PDF application or downloads it.

is it issue with pdfjs ?

You have selected PRE-view in FF. That had limitations also in prior versions. As I have 34.0 a non US-version I can't say what opsions you have, but on my FF i can select 'Use Adobe Acrobat in Firefox" That works if you have Javascript enabled.

we did not have this limitation for earlier like we still can see images on FF version 32.X ... anyway I have got some clarification on below URL.
