Why can't the awesome bar remain stationary? and not flop up anddown in that annoying fashion.

The awesome bar is only activated with a mouse-over maneuver. If there was an option to eliminate this unnecessary action and leave the awesome bar fully engaged at all times. With dual 20" monitors on my desktop, wasted space is not an issue, wasted ,repetitive motions are.

Disabling the extension, The Fox, Only Better 1.1.8, seems to have resolved the issue. Thanks for all the help in pointing me in the direction to consider extensions as the culprit.

This does not resolve the issue as I was never in the Full Screen Mode. I want the Awesome Bar to remain engaged at all times, not turning on or off with a mouse over move.

Something to try very quickly - try disabling one of your extensions - Logitech Flow Scroll 4.00.33.
