What happened to "Location" bar
What happened to the Location bar in 37.xx
Now I have that long, long Search bar. With the Location bar I could see the link of the site I was on. I could also sent that link to someone if I wanted to.
With every upgrade, things get more complicated.
Thanks.

I'm guessing this is due to the "penguin 3.10.3" theme, which is your current theme. When I installed that, most of the interface disappeared or was not displayed correctly. I would suggest disabling that theme and switching to the default one or a different theme instead.

I didn't have 3-bar menu (I keep it on my missing address/url toolbar). But Alt was quite magical!! I just had to go to View->Toolbars and turn on the 3 missing toolbars. Classic to the rescue :-)
That was strange that toolbars should just get disabled!!!! Hope they stick now. Or that I remember the power of Alt.
Thanks.
p.s. and problem was not due to an update. Last update 3 weeks ago. Wonder what caused it?
I'm trying to get rid of that stupid long, long bar too, and get my search bar back. I've been struggling with it for 15 minutes or so. I did the same thing on a different computer two days ago, and the problem only cleared up when I restarted Firefox.
I have started Firefox today, and I'm still stick with the long, unified bar, which I don't consider awesome, by the way.
The previous replies show how difficult this problem is too solve. I'm in the middle of switching to Pale Moon, so I won't have to put up with Mozilla's shenanigans anymore. Pale Moon offers the advantages of Firefox and doesn't try to ape Chrome. I encourage other users to join me in the switch. It works just like "Classic" Firefox, and you can even import your bookmarks, and probably all or most of your add-ons. Switching to Pale Moon is probably easier than executing some of the solutions described above.
I've attempted to insert a link for a meme I made. Thanks to Firefox's "awesome" unified bar, it took me 10 minutes or so to find the frikkin' URL, as Dr. Evil would say. Firefox generously let me e-mail myself the link, as long as I used a Yahoo! account. Fortunately, I remember my username and password for a Yahoo! account which I used only when necessary.
