I hope to pay for and run a "web based" program on my computer. The instructions state that I need "Webkit/Mozilla Compatible". How do I know if I have this?

What is "Webkit/Mozilla Compatible"? How can I be certain my computer is running this? I use a MacBook Pro, OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 Firefox 38.0.5 or/ Safari 8.0.6, thanks

Those actually are two different things. Webkit is the page layout engine used in Safari and Google Chrome, while Mozilla makes Firefox. Since money is involved, you could double-check on the browser versions they recommend/require just to make sure.
