This seems to have happened after I loaded the last Firefox update. The buttons will be there for a time, but then when I go to certain sites, they seem to disappear and the only way I can minimize the window is to completely quit Firefox, which, of course, is extremely inconvenient and time consuming.

Hello there,

Start Firefox in Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem.

Follow the easy steps below on how to start Firefox in Safe-mode:

Click the menu button, click "Help" and select "Restart with Add-ons Disabled".

See: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-extensions-themes-to-fix-problems https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-issues-with-plugins-fix-problems

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Troubleshoot Firefox issues using Safe Mode start window to disable all extensions.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit"

Hope this helps!
