I cannot open attachments to e mails as pdfs when they are sent as tifs or bmp files. so I can't print them. One tif is defaulted to open as picassa
When I am sent an attachment to an e mail that is a tif (or anything that is not a pdf) I can't open the attachment after I download it. It won't convert to PDF and Microsoft word is not a choice when I go to "penwith"

When you open files from Firefox, Windows default programs are used.
To change default programs for each type of file:
- Open the Control Panel
- Open Default Programs
- Choose Associate a file type or protocol with a program
- For each file type which doesn't open with the right program, select the program you want
Try using AlternaTIFF - Standard web browser plug-in (Netscape-style) for Firefox to view TIF image files.
Windows Paint should be able to view BMP files.
