I cannot access google.com from Firefox on my iMac. This only starting happening today. Not sure that it is malware or adware related. I can access all other websites with no issue. Cleared cache and cookies as well for both.

And I can ping www.google.com from the iMac with 0% packet loss.

Here are other details below

iMac running OS X 10.8.5

Firefox 41.0

Please help as I may have overlooked something.

Thank you

After further digging, I found that the issue was not with my browser (or other browsers) and was not with my machine. The issue was with my ISP. Once things were resolved on their end I was able to access google.

Thanks for your input.

Hi jfalan:

google.com works fine for me on the 3 macs i have tried.

Some things to try are: Help | Restart with Add-ons disabled to see if it is a Firefox add-ons issue and to check your OSX for malware and adware

Cheers!
