Hello,

Is it possible to block Adobe Flash on a domain using the following URLs for its different sections?

   http://tv-guide.EXAMPLE.com/
   http://news.EXAMPLE.com/
   http://sports.EXAMPLE.com/
   http://travel.EXAMPLE.com/

If I block

   http://tv-guide.EXAMPLE.com/

it does not affect

   http://news.EXAMPLE.com/

They have tens of different sections. How do I block them all?

Thank you.

I don't think that this is possible. current Firefox releases store the protocol and full domain of the website for each permission. You can see that if you inspect permissions.sqlite with SQLite Manager and look for type="plugin:flash"

Flash block {web link} Never be annoyed by a Flash animation again! Blocks Flash so it won't get in your way, but if you want to see it, just click on it

Hello FredMcD,

Thanks for replying. I appreciate it.

Is it possible to achieve that without an extension?

Best regards.

Type about:addons<enter> in the address bar to open the Add-ons Manager. Hot key; <Control>(Mac=<Command>) <Shift> A)

On the left side of the page, select Plugins. Make sure that Shockwave Flash and the other players are set to Ask

Hello FredMcD,

Thanks again.

I don't want to set Flash to "Ask" for *all sites*. I meant all sections in *one site*.

Best regards.

Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar and Left click the icon. Select Permissions. In the menu, Make sure the ones you want to use are set to Ask or Allow. Or Disable. These settings effect Only that site.

I'm afraid I haven't been clear enough.

I want to block Flash in all the sections of http://www.walla.co.il/ without having to block the links above separately.

Thanks.

Kind of the same problem: I have Firefox default to ask to enable Flash. But every time I visit a Bandcamp page I have to enable it separately - for band1.bandcamp.com, band2.bandcamp.com, band3.bandcamp.com... I use Bandcamp a lot. So a wildcard option where we could allow or block Flash on *.site.com would be really handy.
