Why won't the thumbnail images for videos on Youtube load?

When I navigate to the Youtube website the thumbnail images for videos won't load. The titles of the videos load and the videos will still play if I click on the Video Title links. The adds will still load at the top of the page, but the thumbnails won't load at all. This occurs on the main screen and for the thumbnails along the side of the screen when watching a video.
